This is an IBM Automation portal for Cloud Platform products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.
Welcome to the IBM Ideas Portal (https://www.ibm.com/ideas) - Use this site to find out additional information and details about the IBM Ideas process and statuses.
IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com) - Use this site to view all of your ideas, create new ideas for any IBM product, or search for ideas across all of IBM.
ideasibm@us.ibm.com - Use this email to suggest enhancements to the Ideas process or request help from IBM for submitting your Ideas.
As part of the review process, we strive to be transparent about our intentions with each enhancement suggestion. The offering team has carefully reviewed this idea and has decided that it does not fit into our current plans, or the idea has aged or has been implemented, so the idea will be closed. The idea will be kept in IBM's ideas repository and may still be voted on. It might be reassessed or reopened for additional feedback in the future. We value your feedback and thank you for allowing us the privilege of partnering with you in developing our products.
Although the theme of this request is consistent with our business strategy, it is not committed to the release that is currently under development.
1. Update Warning status to build job step.
Description: Validate build job step output and update the status to Warning or desired status if it finds any warnings and feasible to count as well. With current approach and uBuild design, the step status is defined as Success/Failure.
What we have tried:
We did updated new Status as Warning and created post process script to search for the string “warning”. If it finds the string, mandate the step status to Warning. With default design we can't set/update the step status to desired status. Even we mention the status Warning, it will set to Success. Let us know if we have any plugin to achieve this.
Assign status step also shows success, even mention the set status to Warning. It will update the overall build status to Warning and desired color. But, the Assigned status step (which setting up the warning status is success). Application team would like to set
• Build job step status to desired status if possible display the warnings count at build.
• Over all status of the build should set to warning and even Assigned status step should be warning.
2. Over all build status will be set to warning, but project dashboard we have only build shows with status as Completed/Failed or Aborted. It wouldn't display the Warning builds on project dashboard
3. In the information radiator, we don't have option to chose the desired build status. Which has default status and even we can't make any color coding.
