UrbanCode Deploy to Support Multi-Component Installs In a Specific Order (Where All Components in an Application Share the same Tag) Based on Snapshot Details

UrbanCode Deploy currently supports installing a component with multiple versions in a specific order based on the order that the versions are added to the component in a snapshot. However, UrbanCode Deploy doesn't support installing multiple components and their respective version(s) in a specific order when all components within an application have the same tag and there's a single "Install Multiple Components" step. We know we can have multiple "Install Multiple Components" steps and have different tags on the components so that components get installed in the correct order based on the order of the "Install Multiple Components" steps within the application process (each targeting a different set of components based on tag names). Our ask is to support installing multiple components and their respective version(s) in a specific order (where all components within an application have the same tag) based on the contents of the snapshot details.

Hello, Yes, the idea is to allow us to order components in the snapshot in which we'd want them to be deployed. Currently, we can add multiple versions on a component to a snapshot, then drag those versions left or right which will determine the order they're acted on when we deploy that snapshot. On the environment view within an application, we can drag environment names up and down to change the order of the environments seen via the browser. Within the resource tree we can drag groups up and down to change where they are in the resource tree. This request is to give another option within the snapshot on the component versions which will allow us to set the order that the components would be deployed in (which may also be determined by the application process). Attached are two images with one being a rough mockup of what I was thinking. The image named "Change order of versions on single component" is showing existing functionality where we can drag versions left or right and affect the order of the versions on a single component within a snapshot. The image named "Order Components in Snapshot" is the rough mockup where there'd be another option on the "Component Versions" tab within the snapshot.

    Thanks.

could you please provide more details, possibly with screen mockups, so that i can uderstand your request better.
