Urbancode Agents java management in one click

As we can see there is a new feature introduced in UrbanCode UI starting from v7.2.3 where java can be managed for agents.

There are multiple steps to install and set up java for an agent such as first install the java in agent, then set the java home and the finally restart the agent.

So instead of having all these three steps as separated, it will be good to have a one click java installation which will combine all three steps. And it can save us a lot of time.

We faced an issue in installing the java as in some servers it takes less time to install java and somewhere more time. So if we run a script combining all three steps it sometimes fails because, the first step is not completed before attempting the next step and so on.

So its better to have all the steps combined with the dependency on previous step.

Hi Krishnanshu, our development team is telling us the following for this RFE:

"We have previously not wanted to do this as a set of commands because each step can fail and it would be difficult to surface up the failures and link them to failed steps. The current steps(and related APIs) are designed to be run in batch. That allows for different version of Java to be installed on different operating systems. For example, 20 agents could have IBM Java installed on Linux, and then 30 agents could be installed with open JDK on windows. After that step is complete an checked for errors, the Java Home can be configured on all agents. Finally the agents can be restarted. "

Could you review the statement above and provide any feedback to us? For now, we will move this IDEA to "Future consideration". Thank you!
