This is an IBM Automation portal for Cloud Platform products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.
Welcome to the IBM Ideas Portal (https://www.ibm.com/ideas) - Use this site to find out additional information and details about the IBM Ideas process and statuses.
IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com) - Use this site to view all of your ideas, create new ideas for any IBM product, or search for ideas across all of IBM.
ideasibm@us.ibm.com - Use this email to suggest enhancements to the Ideas process or request help from IBM for submitting your Ideas.
As part of the review process, we strive to be transparent about our intentions with each enhancement suggestion. The offering team has carefully reviewed this idea and has decided that it does not fit into our current plans, or the idea has aged or has been implemented, so the idea will be closed. The idea will be kept in IBM's ideas repository and may still be voted on. It might be reassessed or reopened for additional feedback in the future. We value your feedback and thank you for allowing us the privilege of partnering with you in developing our products.
There are possible workarounds to support your request (for example using external approvals done in other tools like Rational Team Concert/Engineering Workflow management and triggering the deployment through them).
Another possible workaround is to write your own external email reader which receives the approval responses and parses them and uses the REST api (f.e. https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/urbancode-deploy/7.3.0?topic=resource-approve-reject-approval-task) to return the result to the server
Hi,
I am not sure about the origin of this idea, but I am in agreement with the need to be able simplify the process by replying to an email. The issue we encounter is that we will have the need to either re-run a deployment process or need an emergency approval, but the approvals will only work when the approver is connect to our network. If we could allow our approvers who can receive emails on the mobile device to reply to that email they would be ecstatic!
We had previously used the IBM UrbanCode Deploy and Release mobile app, which our approvers loved and were more than a little upset when it was retired. If it is too challenging either technically or financially to implement the email response capability, what about bringing back the mobile app?
Thanks for the consideration!
Mike Bowman
Thank you for providing this request. Although the theme of this request is consistent with our business strategy, it is not committed to the releases that are currently under development.

IBM Team,
It would be great if this feature gets implemented asap
