Industry standard issue tracker for Rational Developer Merged

Rational Developer (for i, z) is a great tool but like all similar applications, continually has a host of minor defects and possible enhancements.

Opening an APAR with IBM for this sort of thing is overly complex and an antiquated sort of user interaction.

May I suggest that the Rational team stand up an industry-standard issue tracker (GitHub, Bugzilla, Jira, etc. .. GitHub or GitHub-like would be best and conformant to current practice of the more forward-looking IBM teams) for customer interaction as regards minor defects and desire enhancements?

Thank you.

As a long time user of RDi I have to agree with Jack. Ofttimes the developers will respond to suggestions on informal channels but to justify some enhancements they need formal external feedback and the current process of RFEs and APARs is too laborious. APARs particularly because the developer discovering the bug often will not have the required IBM credentials to open an APAR and has to jump through hoops in their own organization to get them. Most don't bother and so bugs go unreported. This is a problem beyond just RDi and can often apply to compiler bugs etc.
