Utility to update ALBD service credentials

For previous versions of ClearCase (<9.x) there was a utility provided by IBM to update the ALBD credentials while storing the password in an encrypted format (CCALBDPW.exe). That utility does not work starting with ClearCase 9.x. Need an equivalent utility to allow for pushing out ALBD credentials to target machines without passing the password unencrypted.

    Workaround for CC10+:

    -set this key:

    reg add HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Atria\ClearCase\CurrentVersion /t REG_SZ /v ClearCaseMajorVersion /d "9.1" /f

    -run the tool (v508):

    ccalbdpw.exe -r -s

    -restore the key:

    reg add HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Atria\ClearCase\CurrentVersion /t REG_SZ /v ClearCaseMajorVersion /d "10.0" /f
