Upgrade Agent have limitation of simultaneous upgrades to 10 or fewer Agent - which is problematic if customer have 50.000 UCD Agents to upgrade

Upgrade Agent feature have limitation described on documentation as: "Updating many agents simultaneously can have a significant affect the server. As a rule-of-thumb, limit the number of simultaneous upgrades to 10 or fewer." Which is problematic to large customers as we have approximately 50.000 of UCD Agents which need to be upgraded from version 7.0.x to 7.2.x (or 7.3.x). Please remove that limitation and simplify upgrade process to able to upgarde in fast track 50.000 of UCD Agents.

    After further review with the development team, the complexity of this update is high and we did not see interest from the larger customer base for this request. However, there are workarounds for this using scripts to manage the upgrade efficiently. If you would like our help, please do reach out to us as part of the customer advocacy calls. Thank you again for your partnership and we are moving this to 'Not under consideration' for now.

    Thank You for your input. There is no enforced limit, it is a recommendation to lower the effect onto the server as all of the agents updating would download, then disconnect, connect and so on.

    The best way is to use an external script (python, ansible, chef) to upgrade existing agents in bulk.

    You can find some ansible examples here: https://github.com/osmanburucu-ibm/deploy-urbancode-deploy which you can use to build an ansible playbook for upgrading agents.
