Provide a feature for Dynamic IP restriction settings for IBM Websphere Liberty server

Our product runs on bundled IBM Liberty Server. The version of the Liberty that gets deployed with the product is “WebSphere Application Server 19.0.0.8/wlp-1.0.31.cl190820190813-1136”.
Currently IBM Websphere Liberty does not provide any mechanism to limit or restrict any IP address of users connecting to Server based on frequency of the requests from the IP Address.
For example, End Users automation scripts are bombarding the liberty server with concurrent repeated request because of which because of which request pile up and slow responsiveness for other users. We need this feature implemented urgently.
For example Microsoft IIS server provides an simple way to enforce this restriction through easy configurations, attached is the snapshot of the same from IIS.
URL that explans this feature for IIS is

Thank you for the suggestion. The requirement does have merit, but looking at it with respect to our total backlog of requests we do not see sufficient interest in this enhancement to merit delivery any time in the foreseeable future. It is also possible, and likely a best practice, to address this requirement by fronting Liberty with a Web server. If that is not possible, then it is also possible to implement this behaviour using a ServletFilter. Given these options and the unlikelihood that we would deliver this within the next couple of years, we are declining the request rather than leaving it in an uncommitted state for an extended period of time. If you would like to discuss this decision further, please contact Graham Charters <charters@uk.ibm.com>.
