Create an IBM Approved and Supported Container Image with ChainGuard (wolfi base Image)

Chainguard provides a commercial service to ensure container are protected quickly and have no major security vulnerabilities. They already have an Open Liberty version so it must work but it would be great if IBM would agree this is a valid/supported pattern that we can use across public cloud platforms.

    We are not going to add this Idea to our roadmap right now.

    IBM Support can assist with issues related to the Liberty runtime when the problem can be reproduced using an official Liberty container image from icr.io/appcafe. If an issue is reported with a Chainguard-provided Liberty image, the customer or Chainguard will need to show that the same issue occurs with the official IBM Liberty image or is directly related to the Liberty runtime. Once this is confirmed, IBM Support will be able to engage and provide assistance.
