Ability for the plug in to leverage the sysplex distributor for the DDVIPA to determine when a systems is up

We currently have a case with IBM open on this and is effecting our production systems. If you reach out to me, i will share the case number. Not wanting to put that in the IDEA

When shutting down an LPAR in a plex, and is removed by the TCPIP LEAVEGROPUP COMMAND , any polling from the plugin , should be aware of that system being out of the plex versus attempting to reach the plex on a round robin fashion. What we are seeing is a request is sent to the down LPAR and waits for the time specified in the ConnectTimeout= value. After that time expires, the requst is abandoned and moves to the next HostAlias in the list. This causes the request accumulate that while while the plugin in find a viable connection to send the request to.

Example using the display command from TCPIP

Using something like this command "D TCPIP,,N,VDPT,PORT=31981" form the DDVIPA owning LPARS.

Returns something like this for each system in the plex

DEST: ??.??.??.??.31981

TARGET: ??.??.??.??

TOTALCONN: 0002397970 RDY: 001 WLM: 10 TSR: 100

DISTMETHOD: WEIGHTEDACTIVE

FLG: LOCAL

The RDY: 001 or 000 says if that system is up or down according to TCPIP.

Would want a message logged in the plugin log stating, host is down moving to next hostaliias in the list. Stating the hosts it is attempting to reach. Also log the TCPIP response you get back
