Enhanced Dashboard Customization for Team-Specific Views

We appreciate the introduction of the Enhanced Dashboard in DevOps Deploy v8.1.0 , which provides comprehensive insights into deployment health, agent utilization, and deployment schedules. However, from a user perspective, the current implementation may not be as beneficial as intended.

Issue: The Enhanced Dashboard currently displays deployment health, agent health, server details, and deployment activity for all applications, regardless of the user's specific role or team. This can lead to information overload and confusion, especially for users who are part of a single team managing only one or a few applications.

Proposed Solution: To enhance usability and relevance, we propose that the Enhanced Dashboard be customizable to display information only for the applications that a user’s team is responsible for. This means:

  • Users should only see deployment health, agent health, server details, and deployment activity for the applications they are directly involved with.
  • The dashboard should allow filtering based on team assignments and application ownership.

Benefits:

  • Reduces information overload by presenting only relevant data.
  • Improves focus and efficiency for users by providing a clearer view of their specific responsibilities.
  • Enhances user experience by making the dashboard more intuitive and tailored to individual roles.

We believe this enhancement will significantly improve the functionality and user satisfaction with the Enhanced Dashboard feature.

    Thank you once more for this great idea regarding our new Dashboard features. The engineering team did review this request and due to other critical items on our roadmap, we are going to consider this Idea for a future release. The dashboard does show global data at this time because the cost of running the queries on a team-based level would be a very expensive and complicated query and there are complications in sorting the data and presenting the data to the user.
