Hi
This functionality already exists, you can create an authorization realm prior to the authentication realm. The key in creating the authorization realm is to ensure the Group Search Base is using the last node point OU in AD that stores your AD groups. For the Group Search Filter use a prefix for you groups (NOTE: AD groups and UCD groups will have the same name as the AD groups are imported) for example (&(cn=<your_Prefix>_UCD*)(member={0})).
Once the authorization realm is created create you authentication realm and bind it to the authorization realm in the "Authorization Realm" dropdown setting.
Using the above configuration will automatically import any groups with your name convention when a user that is part of that group logs in. The UCD groups can then be assigned to roles.
Thank you for submitting this Idea. Our development team has a discussion topic opened to review this request and we will be in touch. I am changing the status to 'Under review'.
