Hi,
Sorry for a late reply. Wasn't aware of the request for more info.
Let's start with referencing our case 'TS011160828 - Resource template questions' which was the reason for this idea in the first place. If you need more info I will supply that info asap.
Would like to have ALL info copied when the resource is created, not just 'structrual changes' !
I suppose that there are befefits/disadvantages to a solution where the resource gets updated as soon as the values on the template are changed. Would prefer a choice, 'Update resource when resource template is updated' / 'Also update resources using this resource template'...
That way people like me (pipeline admins) can choose the way they want to 'inherit' changes like these. Either 'inherit' or do the changes manually.
Thanks & Regards
Nikos
Thank you very much for providing this new idea. We could use a little bit more information if you can share with us for our development team.
Can you clarify if you just want the resources copied when the resource is created? Or if they need to be updated on the resource when the valued on the template are updated?
Could you provide an explanation of your usecase in as much details as you can? Thanks again for these details as best you can provide it as this will help us from a development perspective.
