Enable tomcat.keystore reloading without 'restarting the service'

There is an example on the Web of Java code that can enable the UCD tomcat.keystore be reread periodically without have to restart the master server service. But in addition to enabling that capability, a new keystore password needs to be not only pushed to the running service, but be encrypted and stored to the secured-installed.properties file in order to keep everything in sync. The reload is known to work because a customization has been successfully implemented, but it would be improved if the password file could be periodically checked for changes and reloaded as needed.

Hi JC, our engineering team did provide feedback for this Idea. Since taking the server down to do accomplish this update is easy to do, they do not think the value of an update in this area is valuable enough to give it priority over other features that are on their plate for implementation.

We very much value your input, so if you have any concerns with this, please let us know and we can schedule a call with you and our engineering team to discuss this further. We would like to know how often this feature would be utilized as well from your perspective if it were implemented. Thank you again!

Was wondering if you can change the title. I automatically typed in "rebooting" but the action really is "restarting the service". I will be available on and off through the week but hopefully my schedule will return to normal next week. We recently migrated the process to our Production environment, and it has been stable. Let me know what you need from me.

Hi JC, thank you for submitting this IDEA. The core team will review this and will provide guidance. It was nice speaking to you a few days ago. Thank you for being a long time customer of IBM UrbanCode Deploy. I did share a little bit of your environment details to the team. We will be in touch. Best Regards, -Randy Langehennig
