With Urbancode Deploy v 7.2.3.1 a new utility is provided keyrotate which can be used to rotate encryption keystore for UCD. When running this utility no logs are generated, it only gives a summary of the key rotation at the end of the keyrotation operation that too if it completes successfully. The idea is that there should be logs or status recorded at a regular interval for the duration of keyrotation. In our case the database size is 3 TB and keyrotation ran for approximately 36-40 hours and it failed after that. Now if there would have been some logs/status at regular interval we would have known why it failed and after rotating how much data it failed. Also with logs being generated it helps to diagnose the failure issues.
