Search Z Artifact should support a cross-Application search capability

We are trying to set up a CI/CD pipeline for supporting “old traditional” mainframe development and then use UCD as a deployment manager.

Our z/OS developers are used to be able to easy see the inventory in our different environments (several dev environments + prod).

They can search for an element name including other optional search criteria (wild-card, source type etc..) and in the search result they can see all the status, version etc.. in all environments.

If the new CI/CD pipeline Should be useful for them they need to have better search functionality in UCD.

When migrating from z/OS, the source will be stored in git. The sources will then be grouped into repositories that correspond to component&application in UCD.

In our z/OS environment can the developer search for modules in “other” applications. This is an important functionality since different applications communicate frequently with each other.

UCD should in “Z Artifact search” provide an options that makes it possible to do a cross application search (maybe based on a tag).

Expected outcome - A table view to display the current active inventory with links to the UCD component version.

    Please have a look at UCD version 7.3.1 which now provides a z artifact search report.
