Terraform configuration files for storing environment information such as the Heat

We currently use the Blueprint Designer tool to create blueprints for provisioning environments via Urbancode Deploy. We are migrating from the engine we used (Heat) to the Terraform engine. However we note that it is not possible to create and use configuration files to inform the value of properties used at the time of provisioning.

With the use of heat we had the possibility to use these files. This facilitates the use of the same blueprints for different environments (DEV, QA, PROD) where they usually only change the value of the properties. When we have a blueprint with many properties, provisioning is not feasible without the use of configuration files.

Blueprint Designer is now depreciated please have a look here in this Announcement.

In IBM DevOps Deploy 8.0, the Blueprint Designer add-on tool for modeling cloud environments and virtual system patterns is no longer shipped with the IBM DevOps Deploy product and is no longer supported.

Although the theme of this request is consistent with our business strategy, it is not committed to the release that is currently under development.
