SAML does not send LOGOUT request from SAML SP to SAML IdP

Background, this is for IBM Connections customers using SAML. Currently, when SAML customers try to logout of Conncetions they can't because SAML does not send LOGOUT request from SAML SP to SAML IdP. . Find ,spec here section 4.3 of
http://docs.oasis-open.org/security/saml/v2.0/saml-profiles-2.0-os.pdf

Customers expect to be able to select Log Out and then get returned to the SAML login screen.. Meaning, the current implementation does not support Single Sign Out Workarounds suggested would require customers creating their own implementation to redirect to their SAML idP . Please see PMR 81966,L6Q,000 and emails for further details.

Thank you for the suggestion. The requirement does have merit, but looking at it with respect to our total backlog of requests we do not see sufficient interest in this enhancement to merit delivery any time in the foreseeable future. Given the unlikelihood that we would deliver this, we are declining the request rather than leaving it in an uncommitted state for an extended period of time. If you would like to discuss this decision further, please contact Graham Charters <charters@uk.ibm.com>.

I believe the relevant section of
    http://docs.oasis-open.org/security/saml/v2.0/saml-profiles-2.0-os.pdf
is 4.4 (Single Logout Profile), not 4.3.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Application Platform
    Product - WebSphere Application Server

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Application Servers
    Product - WebSphere Application Server
