One system in sysplex crashed. After it was IPLed back noted that Apache
HTTP server didn't start. It's proc quietly ended with CC 0000.
Checked logs/proc.output and found this:
:/ST1/etc/ihsconfig/ihs/ihsaest1/logs # cat proc.output
You are logged on to system ST1.
httpd (pid 34078765) already running
But process with PID 34078765 was not related with HTTP server at all:
:/ST1/etc/ihsconfig/ihs/ihsaest1/logs # ps -ef | grep 34078765
T90490Z 34078765 1 - 00:45:35 ? 0:06 EZBTXLUR
T90490Z 17303153 50856565 - 07:48:31 ttyp0098 0:00 grep 34078765
What happened is that before the crash HTTP server was running with PID
34078765. On the crash logs/httpd.pid was not deleted. And after IPL
another process was started with PID 34078765.
It would be nice if Apache HTTP server could check if it's really
server's instance is running with PID specified in logs/httpd.pid.
