Be able to access folders outside of WebSphere but still use Websphere custom registry

We currently have our Web directory folders within our application that our schools upload files to daily and in order to do any updates to this application we have to manually move these folders out and back in and do a manual update (a build would delete any new files uploaded to the web directories). We cannot do a build on the application.
If we had these folders outside of WebSphere and were still able to use our custom registry and keep the security in tact we could easily build this webdirs.ear application without doing a manual update.
Thanks,
Karen

Thank you for the suggestion. Looking at it with respect to our total backlog of requests we do not see sufficient interest in this enhancement to merit delivery any time in the foreseeable future. Given the unlikelihood that we would deliver this, we are declining the request rather than leaving it in an uncommitted state for an extended period of time. If you would like to discuss this decision further, please contact Graham Charters <charters@uk.ibm.com>.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Application Platform
    Product - WebSphere Application Server

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Application Servers
    Product - WebSphere Application Server
