WebSphere Application Server Support for HashiCorp Vault Usage

Please note this is the same as previous RFE 149411

Our Cyber team’s latest compliance requirement mandates that datasource passwords are rotated every 180 days. To meet this, we’re exploring HashiCorp Vault to manage and rotate JDBC datasource credentials for both Traditional WebSphere Application Server (tWAS) and WebSphere Liberty (WLP).

IBM WSAS Support has confirmed they don’t officially support HashiCorp Vault integration at this time, and there’s no product documentation for a production-grade configuration. They pointed us to community GitHub examples (not IBM-supported, although I know Brian is an IBM'er):

Given the compliance requirement and the lack of vendor-supported capability, could you please advise whether this is a planned addition to tWAS functionality and if not please can it be.?I note that IBM purchased HashiCorp in February 2025, so presumably this is on the roadmap anyway.
