DevOps Test Integrations and APIs plugin for Jenkins integration should support Java17

Currently Rational Integration Tester  (abbr. RIT) plugin for Jenkins integration cannot work with Java 11 or Jave 17 which runs Jenkins above it. When running RIT tests by using the plugin in Jenkins, Jenkin server log has below error and the test tasks fail:

RunTests process did not complete startup within 60 seconds

 

The error is due to JAXB APIs library was removed from OpenJDK 11 as well as 17. If running Jenkins server in Java 1.8.0, there is no problems. However, new Jenkins versions do not support Java 1.8 anymore and deprecate Java 11. RIT Plugin for Jenkins has to be improved for supporting Java 17.
