Support .NET Core 6.0 Desktop Applications and WPF in Rational Functional Tester

Currently RFT supports .NET applications until the .NET 4.6.1 version of Desktop Applications. Such .NET version is obsoleted from Microsoft in mid 2022 and Microsoft encourages to migrate applications on .NET Core 6.x applications. So new Desktop applications and existing customers will migrate to .NET Core 6.0 that is not currently supported by RFT.

We tried to using the WebUI testing that failed to record, play and check verification points.

The key point is that with Visual Studio 2022 and .NET Core 6.0 customers can develop rich desktop applications using WPF (Windows Presentation Framework) that currently cannot be tested by RFT. Customer with previous RFT regression testing are also unable to validate the application using their already-recorded scripts.

Do you have an idea in which future release and time span the request may be released?

Although the theme of this request is consistent with our business strategy, it is not committed to the release that is currently under development.
