Upvote ideas that matter most to you
Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive a notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
If you encounter any issues accessing the Ideas portals, please send email describing the issue to email@example.com for resolution.

As described in the above PMR, Change uses /tmp to move files out of Synergy in preparation to download them to the user's browser (UNIX solution). The problem is that most UNIX operating systems use /tmp for their swap space and when it runs out of space the server either becomes unstable and/or crashes. So, we'd like to have the ability to tell Change where to download the Synergy files to (option in pt.cfg maybe). The other part of this request is to see if Change could provide the user some kind of indication that something is actually happening after the download button is hit (circle of death, status bar, hour glass, the options are endless). See the use case below for more details.
Synergy contains a 1gb+ file. The unix server has 4gb of /tmp space. The user displays a task that the 1gb file is associated to. The user selects the download option, the user see absolutely no reaction from the tool so the user selects download multiple times until such time as the server crashes. Each hit of the download starts up a new unique copy of the same file in the /tmp folder. In our case there were 4 concurrent downloads happening at the same time for the same file from the same user.
