Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Search existing ideas

Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Post your ideas
  1. Post an idea.

  2. Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

  3. Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

RSARTE: Generated library dependencies for target incorrect

An external library make is used to add libraries to the build

<< attachment1.png >>

The created libraries are added to the libraries field

<< attachment2.png >>

And are generated in the 0_USER_LIBS list in the 0.mk file

0_LIBS = \
"../../zz_libNiagaraSubnode/build_mingw64/libNiagaraSubNode$(LIB_EXT)" \
"../../zz_libEsra/build_mingw64/libEsra$(LIB_EXT)" \
"../../zz_libReuseCore/build_mingw64/libReuseCore$(LIB_EXT)" \
"../../zz_FaicLibrary_lib/win64/$(LIB_PFX)faic$(LIB_EXT)"
0_LIBS_DEPS = \
../../zz_libNiagaraSubnode/build_mingw64/libNiagaraSubNode$(LIB_EXT) \
../../zz_libEsra/build_mingw64/libEsra$(LIB_EXT) \
../../zz_libReuseCore/build_mingw64/libReuseCore$(LIB_EXT) \
../../zz_FaicLibrary_lib/win64/$(LIB_PFX)faic$(LIB_EXT)
0_USER_LIBS = \
"$(ROSERT_WA_ROOT)/codegen/dprintf/x86_64-mingw-sdk/libDprintf.a" \
"$(ROSERT_WA_ROOT)/codegen/MtrCnt/x86_64-mingw-sdk/libMtrCnt.a" \
"-lfpga" \

However 0_USER_LIBS is not a prerequisite of the executable leading to incorrect builds

A_BypassNode$(SHLIB_EXT) : $(0_OBJS) $(0_USER_OBJS) $(0_LIBS_DEPS) $(0_OBJS_LISTFILE) 0-ld.dat
@$(FEEDBACK) Linking zz_BypassNode_SIL:$@
$(0_LD) $(LD_HEAD) $(0_LDFLAGS) $(0_OBJS_LIST) $(0_USER_OBJS_LIST) $(0_LIBS) $(0_USER_LIBS) $(LD_TAIL)
@$(FEEDBACK) Finished building $@
