We would like to request changes in the IAjobs process to allow the passing of memory parameters from IA > TEZ. We are currently experiencing OOM/GC errors in TEZ where the TEZ process gets killed and the IA job aborts. Our hadoop engineering team recommends passing in the following parameters:
set tez.am.resource.memory.mb=10240;
set tez.am.launch.cmd-opts=-Xmx8192m;
Case # is TS002817173
Our hadoop engineering team is applying a tactical solution where they will increase the AM memory allocations on the hive server url that the IA jobs use. This will also impact all BI jobs that use hive, so we want to limit the timeframe of using this approach.
