Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Search existing ideas

Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Post your ideas
  1. Post an idea.

  2. Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

  3. Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Host an IBM-per-Customer Maven-Repository to download the WLP license files

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

Currently, downloading the WLP license files (base/core) requires manual steps:

  • Logging in to IBM

  • Browsing through Download Central

  • Clicking through a set of sites

  • Downloading the license

  • Verifying the signature

  • Re-Uploading to our internal repository

This could be done easier by providing a repository per customer which requires a login (managed: technical users and IBM user IDs).
Each of these repositories would have the licence files hosted in a way that a company-internal repository can proxy/mirror those license files.

This saves probably hours of manual steps per customer each year.
