Add the ability to update the template for an application or component

We have a lot of applications/components that had been created using automation so they are very similar, but are not currently using templates.  If we could assign them all the same template (which we should have done initially), it would allow us to update all of our objects without needing to modify each one individually.  For our purposes, I believe we would only need to add a template to applications/components that currently have none.  I do not know if there is also a use case for changing/removing a template that was previously set.

    For Applications, it does not appear that there is a way to add an application template to its configuration after the fact.

    It appears we have the ability in our 8.2.2 release to update an existing Component that was not leveraging a Component Template and modify it to use a Component Template.

    What version of the product are you working with today?
