Create Generic Process Step for Locking Snapshots

This request is to create a generic process that can lock a snapshot (versions and configuration) on a particular application. As a requirement for audit, all production deployments must lock their snapshot before deploying. Using an orchestration app, we would like to have a step before triggering a deployment to check if the snapshot versions and configuration is locked, and lock if they are not. Having this step will ensure all production deployments have locked snapshots, and help reduce past issues where we have seen locks triggered from the API fail.

    This idea is in development and is targeted for the 8.2.2 release coming in June of 2026.
