Application process can have different possible combinations of components .It's bit tricky to handle . Instead if get similar option of process type selection the way we have for components process for application process (operational or deployment process) as well , it will help to some extend
Application process having components with both operational and deployment process.(version selection is mandatory)
Application process with just operation comps (can't make version selection mandatory)
Application process with just deployment comps (version selection is mandatory)
Yes, checking if the process is operational or deployment sounds right. Ideally, it should not be possible to submit a deployment process without a version, because a deployment always needs a version.
Our development team reviewed this request last week. The reason we don't always require a component version is because the product supports 'operational processes' that do not require component versions. For example, please stop or start a service.
Are you requesting that we check to process to see if it is operational or deployment? I can check with the team to see if this is feasible.
Thank you for submitting this idea. We have created a discussion topic and will review the request with the development team soon.
