We name nearly all agents for the hostname.
We have hosts get retired but the agent still shows in the console as offline. We currently have inexact and processes to check ServiceNow to see if it's retired, ,and then come back to see for those that aren't retired, see when they last contacted the Deploy Infrastructure. Then we make a judgement call, is a year long enough ago to think that they aren't needed?
I would like to be able to see last deployment activity for a host, as well as last contact, in a view that would let me select all later than a date, and delete them. (I assume that this is a report, but could just be a filtered view of the agent list under resources)
I currently have a PowerShell script that loops through a text file that I build, does an API call to delete the agents from the console, but it's a lot of work to determine what should be deleted.
Current prod is 7.3.2, we are working to upgrade, probably in a few months, to 8.1.1 or later.
--------------
Update: I have found how to get the last deployment activity for an agent from the database.
It's a fairly short bit of SQL, see attached file.
If this was something that could be a report that just delivers a CSV to me, that would help.
Here is a sample of the output. As you can see, we get a way to see all deployments, by application for a given agent. We did find that sometimes there will be more agents reflected in the console than the database, some checking shows that is only the case when the "extra" application has never been deployed to that agent.

Our development reviewed this Idea last week and we are going to be providing you a database query to help retrieve the data you are looking for in an upcoming lab advocate meeting.
We will be considering this Idea for a future release. Thank you for submitting this Idea. At the moment, we do not have the bandwidth to put this in our upcoming 2025 release. In the meantime, we will provide you a temporary solution with the database query to help you in the near term to address your needs.
Thank you for submitting this Idea. We have created a discussion topic and will review your request with our development team soon. We will keep you informed on status and we may have some follow-up questions for you. Thanks again!
